A quick heads up that I a new piece of vinyl I produced is available for pre-order.  The record is called ‘The Allnighter’ and on vocals features M.I. who I am sure many of you would know from his work as the MC from Constant Deviants (‘Competition Catch Speed Knots’, ‘Problem Child’, Concrete Utopia LP etc.)  The vinyl is limited to 300 copies on gold (well, it came out more like orange) vinyl in a plain sleeve and features 5 tracks.

Exclusive to the wax is instrumental versions of all 5 songs.  The price for this release is $20 (+ shipping) and I have listed the ordering information below:

Hey all,

Happy new year!  Big thanks to everyone who supported us in 2011.

I thought I would kick things off for 2012 with this mix I put together a few months back compiling my favourite 80 beats from the Hydrabeats series of instrumental records.  14 Hydrabeats records were released around 1997 on Hydra Entertainment, featuring instrumentals from producers such as Godfather Don, The Beatnuts, Nick Wiz, Ghetto Professionals, E-Boogie, A Kid Called Roots, The Unsociables etc.  While the tracklist is based purely on personal taste, I did try to include at least a couple of tracks from each of the 14 records in the series - hopefully the mix should provide a nice overview of the whole series.
